¼ª²ÊÍøÍøÕ¾'s American Graduate Project is part of a nationwide public media conversation about the dropout crisis. We'll explore the issue through news reports, call-in programs and a forum produced with UNC-TV. Also as a part of this project we've partnered with the Durham Nativity School and YO: Durham to found the ¼ª²ÊÍøÍøÕ¾ Youth Radio Club. ¼ª²ÊÍøÍøÕ¾ News Stories Get A Hip-Hop Beat At Summer Camp

This week ¼ª²ÊÍøÍøÕ¾ is partnering with in Chapel Hill on a free summer camp for high schoolers where students take existing ¼ª²ÊÍøÍøÕ¾ news stories, remix them, and set them to a hip-hop beat.  Called , the camp runs through June 20.

In the days ahead we'll share some of the students' creations with you. This project is the for beat making projects.

This project is a part of , a public media initiative aimed at addressing the drop out crisis.  It's made possible by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
 
The Re-Mixing the News project is hosted at the Town of Chapel Hill's Beat Making Lab under the old Post Office on Franklin Street.
