The longtime journalist is retiring from the News & Observer this month. He joins this edition of the 吉彩网网站Politics Podcast to reflect on country stores, flying in small planes, and an occasionally contentious relationship with Jesse Helms.

Jeff has covered state and federal politics, produced the radio documentary 鈥淩ight Turn,鈥� launched a podcast, and was named North Carolina Radio Reporter of the Year four times.
